Lantern adds a fast product search box to your site. Visitors type, and matching products appear straight away in a dropdown beneath the search field, with no extra pages to click through and no popup to dismiss. The difference is what happens when your catalogue changes. Lantern keeps no copy of your products, so there is no index to rebuild and nothing to fall out of date. Add a product, rename one, change a price, and your very next search reflects it. You never have to re-index, and you never have to ask support why a new product isn't showing up. Shoppers rarely type things exactly right, so near-misses work too. A search for "jaket" still finds your jackets. Results match on names and descriptions, so people find things by what they are as well as what they're called. Setup takes a minute. Drop the search box onto any page, choose your placeholder text and how many results to show, and it works with the products already in your store. It inherits your site's look through a few styling options rather than forcing its own design onto your pages. It supports both the current and legacy store catalogues, so it behaves the same whether your shop is new or years old.
