This February, we launched our Digital Creators series in Miami, where we toured hidden spots in the city’s famed Design District known for its extraordinary art, architecture and fashion not yet discovered by the masses.
Following the tour, we dined at the Mandolin restaurant, a 1940s-era house that’s been turned into a 150-seat restaurant serving dishes from the Greek Islands and Turkish coast along with a dose of warm, genuine, Mediterranean hospitality.
This was our first stop in what we plan to be many private events for a select group of local digital agencies. Each event will include a creative-themed experience and intimate dinner, so local agencies can get to know each other and our Partner team in a fun and relaxed setting.

In the same way digital agencies were able to uncover a hidden world in their own city, they saw Wix in a new light. Rowland Saer, CEO of Seeed, an agency offering end-to-end eCommerce solutions, previously thought Wix was a DIY-only platform. After the event, his perception changed. “We were wrong. Wix has a strong catalog and can support a bunch of our favorite payment providers. We can see Wix fitting in pretty much anywhere---business sites, eCommerce sites, intranet sites. There’s huge
potential, and we’re planning to start using it ASAP.”
As an example of that potential, Saer singled out Velo, Wix’s open development platform that lets designers build professional web applications in a hassle-free environment. “For a complex eCommerce development agency like ours, Velo is a game changer.”

Before the event, Kenneth Metral, founder of Cosmico studios, a Miami Web design and marketing agency, also viewed Wix as a DIY platform. After getting to know our platform his perception changed, “Wix is definitely stepping up their game. We can see it overtaking WordPress.”
Cosmico is now considering building their new and existing client websites with Wix. “Not having to worry about all the issues caused by WordPress on a daily basis, and knowing that Wix takes care of all that for us, makes our job easier and our clients happier.”
