Dillon turned my old Wix site into a more user-friendly masterpiece, building the entire site from scratch. I couldn't be more excited with the final result. He went above and beyond expectations, providing accurate content on a subject matter he may not have been too familiar with. This project was a nightmare. All told we paid $9000 in development and an additional $1500 for graphic design work. There was zero project management, Dillon was always on vacation or unavailable, and in the end, the site was never functional and we couldn't launch our website. When we tried to recoup some of our costs and issued a chargeback, Dillon threatened to sue us. More than the financial loss, the loss of months of time can never be recovered. We made a huge mistake in choosing this developer. This developer is not suitable for large projects....

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are sorry to hear about your negative experience with our company. It seems though that this is a theme with whomever you work with as when starting the project we had to spend a considerable amount of time working with your previous developer and coxing him to regain access to the work he completed after you refused to pay him and stopped responding. This was after they had invested hundreds of hours into your project and then you decided to give up on the project as it was near the finish line. The writing was on the wall and we should have taken head of his advice in not working with you as history repeated itself here. I guess this is why you still have an anequeted website from 2011 and have failed with numerous developers to create a new website.
After further review though of your testimony, the story you wrote out here doesn't quite line up with the reality of the situation.
1.) https://digitalbydg.editorx.io/tkwine: this site is functional and responsive. You can make purchases, submit to sell your products, review orders, and other required functionalities per the projects scope.
2.) Charles, the project manager for TK Wine overseeing this project, stopped responding once the final 50% of the outstanding invoice was paid. This was only to be paid once the project was completed, as very clearly stated in our agreement, so I'm not quite sure why he would make payment in the first place if he was not satisfied with the project. We made every effort to contact Charles after the payment was made to connect the domain and make it fully live. We even upgraded your plan to do so. No response was ever received. This was reach out was done by our company, as well as our affiliate partner on the project and fellow 5-star marketplace partner, ProStrategix (https://www.editorx.com/marketplace/wix-partner/brian-cairns?currency=USD). No contact was ever received after many attempts. This was a project we were very proud of as it was an extremely custom e-comm environment with advanced functionality that was touted for immense success.
3.) We are sorry if you felt the communication was lacking on our end. Something we are constantly aiming to improve and have since applied new project management software that better handles the flow of our projects as well as creates more visibility for the client.
4.) The chargeback was not appropriate per our contracts agreement. This is why you received notification for further legal action. We are a family owned business and the impact of the loss was so great that it required us to take action. Something we have never done and hope to never do so again. Though, it worked and your response to the matter was indicative of your actual position in as you finally, and immediately responded, with no questions asked and proceeded by resending the full amount of $4,500 you had received from your chargeback. If you actually felt you had been wronged and were right in the case, going forward with a lawsuit would have been a no-brainer.
Again, we are here to support you get this project across the line and as mentioned numerous times would not charge anything additional to get it to a place where you are 100% satisfied with.
